Can I manage my membership and meeting agendas with WordPress or Joomla?
For full online memebership and meeting management, I suggest using Wordpress as your public website, and use either www.freetoasthost.org or www.easy-speak.org to manage your membership and agendas.
However if you just want a calendar of future meetings, the Calendar plugin is great.
Having said that, both Wordpress and Joomla are powerful systems, so you may be able to find or create your own plugins to manage members and agendas, but you will have to do the work yourself.
Where should I host my websites, and how much does it cost?
Here is a great list of websites that support WordPress, most of them support Joomla as well. Or course I am happy to quote to host, configure and maintain your website if you don't want to do it yourself.
Note: wordpress.com does not allow you up upload your own themes, you will need to look at another host.

How do I change the title and tagline at the top of the page?
Sorry, there is not an easy was to do this:
Click on extensions, then template manager.
Then click on your template, and then edit HTML
At around line 60, you will see something like this:Toastmasters District xxx,Somewhere on Earth
Just change the "Toastmasters District xxx" and "Somewhere on Earth" to what you need, be sure to leave the rest as is.
When done, click on save.
Which versions of Joomla do you support?
Version 1.5, sorry but 1.6 and 1.7 are not supported. Perhaps in the future.
How do I make the menu appear?
Go into the module manager, find the main_menu, and move your menu to the "user3" position.
